On Saturday, July 20, from 1-4 p.m., a devoted group of accomplished pianists will be performing at Founders’ Hall (1036 Solana Drive in Solana Beach) to share their love of classical piano music.This small, but growing group of piano music lovers will offer a full program of works by such diverse composers as J.S. Bach, Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Franz Liszt. Though they may call themselves “amateurs,” many of the performers play at a very high level. Best of all, the recital is free. Donations are accepted, and a silent auction will be held at this event to raise money for this nonprofit organization. Bid on golf packages, sushi classes, musical gift baskets and more in the silent auction.
The San Diego office of Colliers International recently announced that 29 completed estate lots in Montagna, a development located within the master planned community of Cielo in Rancho Santa Fe, have sold for $10,235,600. These lots are situated on the ridgeline of Cielo and enjoy sweeping panoramic views. David Santistevan, Gunder Creager, and Ciara Layne of Colliers International were the brokers in the transaction representing both the seller and the buyer.
In an effort to improve what many call the “northern gateway to the city,” council members agreed at the June 3 meeting to negotiate a lease with North County Transit District for a 29,280-square-foot parcel at the northeast corner of Jimmy Durante Boulevard and San Dieguito Drive.
More than 1.425 million people attended this year’s San Diego County Fair over the course of its 24-day run, fair officials announced recently. This year’s total fair attendance of 1,425,200 people makes 2013 the second most attended fair ever, according to event officials. The record was set last year at just below 1.52 million people.
